General

Saturday and Sunday and Holidays are not considered business days and therefore are not counted as part of any production time.

Turnaround times begin once we receive print-ready files or after PDF proofs (if needed) are approved. If the files are not print-ready the order may lapse past the cutoff time for that business day. An order is not considered toward any turnaround time until print-ready files are present as part of the order.

No way. We offer much more.

If you don't see what you want, please email: info@nyprintingsolutions, call: 212.989.6633 or come see us.

Unfortunately, our website can only represent a very small portion of what we do.

We offer high end color copies, embossing, letterpress, look books, flyers, note cards, pads, banners, signs, posters, Foil, Spot Varnish, Thermography (raised printing), catalogs, brochures, all different post card sizes, business and personal announcements, solid color (Pantone spot color) printing and much more.

No, in order to keep our prices as low as possible, only one original artwork can be used for each quantity ordered. So, if 500 business cards or presentation folders are ordered, all 500 have to be identical.

Our showroom is open: 10:00am to 6:00pm Monday thru Friday excluding these holidays.

Of course, our online website is open for ordering all the time.

Artwork and Files

European business cards are 3.375" x 2.125"

Standard US size cards are 3.5" x 2". Many New York City people and companies travel internationally so we are often asked to print European size business cards.

1. Custom Design: Select this option to create products from scratch using our design studio.

2. Upload Design: Using this option, you can upload your own print-ready PDF files for us to print.

3. Browse Design: Use this option to select from our many pre-loaded templates (If available). Use them as is or change them using our online design studio.

4. Personal Design: Come in and we can discuss a design and have one of our graphic artists create a design for you for an additional charge.

Yes, submit one PDF file with multiple pages or submit each side as a separate file.

Vector artwork is best, but if your images are rasterized or are photos, 300 dpi (dots per inch) is the minimum resolution you should upload or use for artwork in the online studio designer.

The small type on a business card prints best at 600 dpi (dots per inch)

Bleed must extend past the cut-line and will be trimmed from the product during the final cutting phase. When the image is required to extend all the way to the edge, bleed is required.

Please keep all text at least 0.125" inside the cut-line.

- The bleed for Standard Products is 0.125" for each side.

Printing

There are advantages to both types of printing. Unlike many local printers, we can offer both digital and offset printing. (We have more than one tool in our tool box, so to speak). Given enough time, we always choose offset, but sometimes digital will do just fine and we will let you know if it will not.

Well then, you are a kindred sprit and we want to meet you in person.

The best option is for you to come in and discuss your project with us. Here you can select a specific color from our Solid Color Pantone Book or from one of our other Pantone books. The Solid Color gamut is much larger than CMYK color and trusting your computer screen to view and select it is never recommended

Want to know how to print those bright oranges or a large variety of blues, it is usually printed in Solid or Spot color.

We offer both digital and offset printing.

Rush items are usually printed on our digital presses and standard turnaround items are usually printed on our offset presses.

For demanding artwork with heavy ink coverage and sensitive colors, offset printing usually yields superior results over digital printing.

Also, like most other printers in the industry, our offset presses can print on thicker papers than our digital presses.
